Blue Curtain Creative
Blue Curtain Creative is a Caribbean based firm providing Web design, Communication Design, Photography and Video, Content Writing, Landscape Design and Renderings. The firm was founded in 2016 by sisters Marica Honychurch and Petrea Honychurch-Seaman, when they saw an opportunity to combine forces and execute with creativity and quality, their mutual love of the Arts, Heritage and Cultural Preservation, and the Natural Environment.
Petrea E. Honychurch Seaman, BSLA
A Dominica native, Petrea studied Landscape Architecture at Colorado State University and then worked in Seattle, before returning to Dominica as a Physical Planner and Land-use officer with the Physical Planning Division. During that time she had the opportunity to work on projects geared towards Tourism, Sustainable Development and Heritage Preservation, including developing guidelines for Sustainable Tourism Development. Over the years, however, she fueled her love for the visual arts by pursuing Web and Communication design alongside her Landscape consulting. Maintaining her connection to Landscape Architecture and Land-use Planning, her projects have allowed her to put all her disciplines to use in one form or another.
Marica E. Honychurch
Born and raised in Dominica, West Indies, Marica moved to the U.S in her late teens where she was first introduced to the world of photography. Gaining a B.F.A at the University of Colorado, Boulder, she was able to experience film and darkroom processes before transitioning over to digital at the Hallmark Institute of Photography. Marica is a Freelance documentary, travel and portrait photographer, living between New York and Dominica. She regularly travels to other countries, capturing their characters. Her work has been featured in several travel magazines as well as online blogs.
